Design for the new headquarters for Detroit Phoenix Center, a nonprofit organization that works to raise awareness and put an end to youth homelessness. The new headquarters houses staff offices as well as dedicated spaces to support their programming including an education hub for tutoring and workshops, a joy zone / game room, a zen room for relaxation, and counseling rooms for mental health support.

The design incorporates existing elements, such as ceiling, partitions, and office furniture, exploring ways to work with the existing space while giving it a fresh, new look that feels warm and inviting to the youth and Detroit Phoenix Center staff. Murals by local Detroit artists and some of the youth participants add vibrancy to this safe, welcoming, and inspiring space for youth to be proud of and feel at home in.
